Beautiful Multi-cultural Wedding Video at Metropolist in Seattle, WA

Japjit & Carlos’ wedding weekend at the Metropolist in Seattle, WA was probably the most memorable wedding experience that I’ve ever had. Their wedding was a mix of two beautifully unique cultures: Black American and Sikh Indian.

As a Black wedding vendor, I was very familiar with the music, foods, and encompassing customs that represented Carlos’ influences. However, being immersed in the Sikh culture was a completely new experience for me. Getting the chance to spend time with Japjit’s family and learn as I documented the weekend felt like an adventure. It almost seemed as though I was transported to a foreign land and was being world schooled on the Sikh culture.

So much from their wedding experience left an impression on me. However, I’d say that the most impactful impression was the appreciation of different cultures that both sides of Japjit & Carlos’ loved ones had for each other. With the tension that we are experiencing in our country, so many people can learn from the guests of this wedding. It was such a beautiful sight watching members of two different cultures celebrating love together.

The film is absolutely beautiful!! Carlos made me wait to have a viewing party with our whole families this weekend, and everyone loved it! My dad even shed a couple of tears!!! It so perfectly depicted us and our wedding!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!”
